Privacy and cookies
This policy explains what personal data Red Hot Guide processes, why, for how long and what your rights are.

Cookies and browser storage
The guide uses no advertising or analytics cookies, so it does not ask for consent on entry. It uses only:
- rhg_18, for 30 days: remembers you confirmed you are 18;
- rhg_cidade, for 30 days: the "Near you" city, only if you tap "Near me" or choose a city; "Forget the city" deletes it;
- rhg_pos, in the browser's local storage, for 12 hours: your position, to show distances; it is never sent to the server;
- rhg_admin, for the session: only in the guide's administration.
Who receives data
We do not sell or share personal data. The site's hosting provider and the email provider process data on our behalf. The map uses OpenStreetMap tiles: when you open a map, your browser requests the images from the servers of the OpenStreetMap Foundation, based in the United Kingdom, which receive your IP address, as with any request on the internet.
Business contact with venues
We use the contacts venues publish to offer them a listing. We may call companies or send them commercial email without prior consent, with the option to refuse in every message; sole traders, only with consent, or by post. Anyone who asks not to be contacted is recorded and receives no further offers.
Your rights
You may ask for access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability, and object to any processing based on legitimate interest, including business contact. Write to guia@redhotguide.pt; we reply within one month. You may also complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, the CNPD.
Minors
The site is for adults aged 18 or over only and does not knowingly collect data from minors.
Security
The site uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS), administration passwords are stored hashed and only the controller has access to the data.
