Pensão Amor

Pensão Amor occupies a former brothel on Rua do Alecrim in Cais do Sodré and turned it into a bar of several rooms with period decor: velvet, wallpaper, lamps, an erotic library and a stage with burlesque and cabaret shows on set nights. It is one of Lisbon's best-known bars, among tourists and locals, and one of the few where eroticism is a theme rather than a service.

It has an erotic shop at the back, Purple Rose, with its entrance on Pink Street, and runs themed events from International BDSM Day to reading nights. Hours and prices to be confirmed; it opens late afternoon and closes in the small hours. Cais do Sodré metro two minutes away.
