What a night costs: prices of clubs, saunas, motels and parties in Portugal
The question people most often ask anyone who knows the adult night is always the same: how much does it cost. The honest answer is a range, because the same night can cost 30 euros or 300, depending on what you order. This article puts the numbers on the table, category by category, and explains where the bill tends to grow.
Strip clubs
Entry runs between 10 and 30 euros and almost always includes a drink. Further drinks cost 8 to 15 euros. A private dance, three to five minutes, costs 20 to 50 euros; a bottle of champagne at the table, with company, runs from 150 to 600 euros or more. This is where the bill grows: always ask the price before accepting and do not let anyone order for you. A night with entry and two drinks comes to between 30 and 60 euros.
Swinger clubs and liberal saunas
Swinger clubs charge per night and by type of entry: couples between 30 and 60 euros, single women little or nothing, single men 50 to 80 euros and only on certain nights. The price includes drinks (usually soft drinks or the first ones) and the use of all rooms. Towels and lockers are included. Liberal saunas work in a similar way, with entry from 15 to 25 euros.
Gay saunas
Entry between 12 and 20 euros, with towel, slippers and locker. Some have reduced prices in the afternoon or for under-30s. The bar is extra, at normal café prices.
Motels
They charge by period, not by night: two to three hours between 25 and 60 euros, depending on the room (standard, with jacuzzi, themed suite). A whole night, where available, runs between 60 and 120 euros. Payment on arrival, cash or card, often without seeing anyone.
Fetish parties, fairs and events
Parties charge 15 to 40 euros entry, sometimes with a discount for those in dress code. Erotic fairs charge 15 to 25 euros a day. Tickets are bought at the door or through the links on the event's listing.
Pole dance classes and boudoir sessions
A single pole dance class costs 15 to 25 euros; a month with two classes a week, 60 to 90 euros. A boudoir photography session, with make-up and a set of edited photographs, starts at 200 euros and easily reaches 500.
Lingerie and sex shops
A set of Portuguese-brand lingerie runs between 40 and 120 euros; a quality toy between 30 and 150. Street shops have prices similar to online shops and accept returns under the law, except for sealed intimate items that have been opened.
All figures are consumer prices, VAT included, gathered from venue websites and listings in 2026. They change, and each listing in the guide has a prices field where the venue states what it charges. When it is not there, ask before going in.
Frequently asked questions
Do strip clubs charge entry?
Almost all do, between 10 and 30 euros with one drink included. Some let you in free before 23:00 or on weeknights. Each club's listing says what it charges.
How do I avoid a surprise bill?
Ask the price of each thing before ordering it, pay each round instead of opening a tab, and do not accept drinks offered to others without knowing the price. A serious house answers without fuss.
Do motels charge per night?
Per period, usually two to three hours, between 25 and 60 euros. A whole night, where possible, costs more and is arranged on arrival.
