Erotic fairs in Portugal: Eros Porto, Salão Erótico de Lisboa and Exxxotic
Portugal has two commercial erotic fairs and one more cultural festival, all for adults over 18 and all with stands, a stage and workshops. This article says what to expect from each, what it costs and what is worth seeing.
Eros Porto
The Salão Erótico do Porto is the country's largest fair of its kind: a weekend in March, at Exponor in Leça da Palmeira (Matosinhos), with around fifty exhibitors of lingerie, toys and cosmetics, a stage with shows through the day, workshops and an erotic art gallery. Day ticket and weekend pass; ID at the door. Metro to Matosinhos and bus, or car with parking on site.
Salão Erótico de Lisboa
The capital's fair, at the FIL in Parque das Nações: brand stands, a stage with striptease and burlesque, talks and an area dedicated to the swinger scene. Commercial fair format, with a day ticket. Oriente metro at the door.
Exxxotic Lisboa
A September erotic festival in Lisbon, more cultural and community-led than the fairs: burlesque, workshops on sexuality and the body, erotic tarot, a market of brands and makers, parties. Venue and programme announced on the festival's social media for each edition.
What is worth it
The workshops (rope, massage, toys) are what stays with you. The stage shows are short and repeat through the day. The stands sell at fair discounts. The swinger and fetish areas of the fairs are for visiting and making contact, not for practice: any club's rules apply.
